Antique Vintage Doll Native/Mexican Papier Mache Hand Beaded Bird Skirt Rare.
This is gorgeous old doll. I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about paper mache dolls. I spent countless hours trying to find one like the ones I’m posting to no avail. My loss of knowledge may be your gain.
She does show some aging. There is fading and stain on her skirt. Her limbs and body are fabric but her face I believe is papier-mâché mache with wax covering.
Her Skirt looks hand beaded and all beads are intact and well threaded from what I can tell.
Her face looks to be hand painted and has some cracking. There is cracking on her shoulder too so please look closely at all photos posted. Her hair is lose in some place but not bad at all. I believe it is just threads to make her hair but I could be wrong.
She certainly give a sweet spirit vibe, and I hope she finds a hike to appreciate her for a long time to come.
