A small fold out book of 19th century Japanese shunga erotic woodblock prints.
These were part of a personal collection we brought from Kyoto, Japan.
One side are the five prints. The other side is the, written in Japanese, story of what’s happening.
Every color was from a different hand carved woodblock. Some of the details were done with a reflective
metallic
paint. We tried to capture this is photo # 7.The details in some of them are incredible to imagine the wood carving that was done to produce these.
